soil respiration - the rate at which living organisms in the soil respire or release carbon dioxide from the soil into the atmosphere.

climate change - a change in global climate patterns that started to escalated in the 20th century by the increase in burning of fossil fuels

carbon dioxide- a heavy colorless gas that is formed by burning fuels, by the breakdown or burning of animal and plant matter, and by the act of breathing and that is absorbed from the air by plants in photosynthesis
