As climate change becomes a greater threat to this generation and those beyond, I see my role in helping understand what is driving this drastic change. Not only this, but to also expanding my impact to those in developing countries that are more likely to be impacted by climate change, through lack of adequate resources and policy to combat it.

Specifically, I am interested in the way terrestrial ecosystems interact with atmospheric processes. I am mostly interested with modeling these earth systems with programming languages and spatial analysis software.  I believe that by creating a ways to view the these systems visually rather than conceptually we can open doors to new approaches to the challenge that lays ahead in mitigating climate change. By using these models I hope to inspire others to act and speak up for those who are facing the brunt of  climate change in countries where policy is yet to be enacted.
